When you are in a remote no cell phone area, will information have to be downloaded when you get to an area with wifi?

The app will automatically detect when there is coverage and automatically update the info. The user will not have to do anything.

Will the GPS site still show up in a remote no data connection area?

GPS will still be available regardless of coverage however we have to preload map backgrounds.

Can users in remote locations (including offshore) be online to show almost real-time reporting on the dashboard (i.e. satellites)?

Regardless of location, you need and internet connection to have real-time access to the dashboard. For loss of connection, sync will happen when you get internet back and re-open the app, probably not real-time. You will have access to satellites for your geolocation.

How does 1st handle data security and potential access to information that could be sensitive to national security using ACE?

iOS encrypts the data by default. Please refer to:
https://www.apple.com/iphone/business/it/security.html

This means that all data that is transferred to our system is using HTTPS (encrypted) so you can be on a public network and the data transferred is completely secure.

Do you have to keep the name 1st Incident Reporting or can the name change to something else?

We have designed the app to allow our customers to personalize all of the Headers, Footers, icons and displays. So yes, we can customize the look of this report.

If someone doesn't finish a report does the app stay active in the background even if I log out? and does this mean it might impact battery life?

Several details here:

You should not need to “logout” at any time once the app is installed. The app does not stay active in the background and does not consume battery power when closed (not logged out). Simply close the app at any time.

The app stays active only for the period of time it takes to synch to the server when in online mode. This synch process is typically within a few seconds.

When off line, the partial or completed incident is saved to memory and does not consume battery power. The User re-opens the app and can complete the incident at any time.

The synch to the server occurs automatically when the device is back in online mode.

Logging out is not required to optimize battery life.

What do I do if the camera not working in the app?

Go to the camera settings on your phone and make sure that the camera is enabled for the 1st application.

What are the recommended smartphone and tablet models for the 1st application?

We recommend the latest version of the OS, which are iOS 8, Android 5 (Lollipop) and Windows 8.1 (for now).
